Family Favorites: Apple Crisp

This is an old family favorite. I don't know where my mother ever got this recipe that takes an apple crisp and adds the tang of cheese.

6 - 8 Apples, pealed and sliced

1 1/2 cup Sugar

1 cup Flour

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1/3 of a pound of Cheddar Cheese, grated

1/2 cup Butter

Place sliced apples in a buttered baking dish and mix with 1;/2 cup of the sugar. In a food processor, combine the flour, remaining sugar, butter, and salt. Pulse until the mixture has the look of cornmeal. Mix in the grated cheese, and top the apples with this mixture. Bake in a 375º oven for 30 minutes.
